Most County Offices Closed. Miss. Code Section 3-3-7(2) allows the Board of Supervisors to declare any other day during the year to be a legal holiday in lieu of any one (1) legal holiday provided for in Section 3-3-7(1), with some exceptions. The BOS has declared the Friday immediately preceding Easter Sunday (Good Friday) to be a legal holiday in lieu of the last Monday of April (Confederate Memorial Day).
