Thank you for your interest in fostering an animal for the Jackson County Animal Shelter
(JCAS). The animals in need of foster care are sick, injured, young or in need of special
care which can be better provided for in a foster home.
Jackson County Animal Shelter, in its sole discretion, decides which animals are eligible
for foster care and appoints foster caregivers. JCAS requires you to fill out a Foster
Application prior to being considered for becoming a foster caregiver. We appreciate your
interest in giving your time and home to these animals.
Over the age of 21, please include yourself.
Separate their ages with a comma.
All foster animals must live indoors. Foster dogs/puppies must be
supervised at all times when outdoors and must remain on a collar
and leash at all times when outdoors. All foster cats/kittens must
remain indoors at all times.
Please include species, breed, age, sex, vaccination status, spay/neuter status and their disposition towards other animals.
If you have any concerns, please discuss the idea of fostering animals with your veterinarian.
Please check all that apply.
By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
